The Twinkie Skits...

The twinkie skits were made as a parody of an MTV video my friend saw back in 1994. At the time I ran a comedy show on Public Access television in Salem Oregon (SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL P.E.G. STATION!!) Personally I have only seen part of the original video, but we took the concept from that, working initially on Paul's recollection and ideas, and building from that. Much of the filming sequences, such as the squirrels, were spontaneous, (no animals were ever harmed). One sequence in Twinkie2 was completely spontaneous, looked great on camera, and actually hurt Jerime when I accidentally whacked him in his left eye with the Twinkie bat! (There's a blooper section I may put up shortly.)

One of the characters in Twinkie1 and 2 is "Maimed" from one of my other skits, "Maimed's World", a parody of Wayne's World. I had recently been hit by 2 cars, and became a general klutz at that time, so I banked on it, but I got tired of the character, so in T1, he was killed, only to have his ghost reenter this world, briefly, to claim a Twinkie from beyond the grave.

At the end of Twinkie2, there is a factory shipping snafu, that left some ding dongs in the box of Twinkies.. potentially feasible, but unlikely. Twinkie3 was initially meant to be an animated adventure, as "The Twinkie Murder Mystery" but production costs were too great and beyond my capabilities. So we wrote a brief script, and filmed both parts. The final version was never shown on CCTV, as I had to end the series due to real life involvements. In fact, when I did go to show the initial version on CCTV, I was unable to remember where the first part of the video footage was, since it was filmed on a different day. In recent years I found it again, and edited it to the current showing.

Twinkie 4 : the new generation, is slated for release in 2015... ;)P
